You may have noticed this account has become somewhat neglected as of late... I haven't had much time/inspiration for art because I've been completely absorbed with my latest attempt at writing (and more importantly, finishing) a book.

But in all honesty, I think I'm starting to lose interest in this site... that's not to say I'm leaving, but I am considering opening a separate account for my writing, or possibly moving accounts altogether...

Heh, since I haven't actually written a journal since August (!) I thought it might be time for a new one.

As you've probably already worked out, yes I'm still lurking around here... just busy with uni work (or should I say busy avoiding it?) This term Freud appears to be conspiring against me.

I've come to the conclusion he's like the psychological equivalent of Cubism... I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I completely take back my previous throw-away sentence comment about v6 - so much so I am editing over the top of the journal. IN ENTIRELY. I may have been slightly over-eager in my praisings (or at least, non-insultings) of the new site, but I accept now I was merely happy because this site was once again working for me. Properly. I could finally do what this site was intended for: browse art, without waiting ten minutes for a page to load (incompletely, I might add)... dA was BACK.

And then, mere hours after posting the journal, I suddenly experience A BUG. (Unless of course, it's just my crappy internet finding new ways to taunt me, which is entirely possible. Either way, I'm still annoyed and will blindly continue with this rant. I'm not sure where it's going, but I hope it's somewhere good...)

For some reason, my message page is completely screwed up, and I am now unable to sort or delete comments/replies, journals, deviations etc. from my watch. Which may in itself not sound like too much of a problem, but once again they're rapidly accumulating and there's no point in even ATTEMPTING to keep up to date if I have no way of sorting my way through. I feel like an 19th explorer (complete with hat) trapped in a jungle without a trusty machete to hack my way through...

So, the point of all this is to simply say an emphatic "BAH", and that I will reply to comments, read journals, and view deviations at a time this site permits me to USE the new features it provided before cruelly snatching them away. Which could be a long time. WE SHALL SEE.

Considering it's been a while since my last journal, I may as well give a quick update.

Exams are completely over, and it's about a month and a half until the results are released so it's just a case of waiting... I'm fairly certain I've done well enough to get the grades I need... then it's off to discover the joys of Psychology at university.

I haven't been on dA much lately because for some reason as soon as I log in the site suddenly goes veeeeery slooooow, and trying to open my messages is taking so long I generally give up. On top of that I've been getting a lot of headaches these last few days, which I assume are hayfever related. But yay for painkillers!

I'm about to go on holiday so there won't be many updates for a while... Hope everyone is having a good (pollen free) summer!!

Ooh, I do have 1 piece to upload before I go, but I think it's a bit adventurous to attempt both that AND a journal all in one go. I'll try later, in the hope dA stops hating me.
